Fully Qualified Mental Health Nurse In Didcot For Your Overall Well-Being

You Deserve To Feel Great. I’m Here To Help.

I am Donna Marie. I started Mental Health Release in 2022 with a singular objective: to help you, and have been doing just that for the residents of Didcot as a fully qualified mental health nurse. I have 23 years of dedication and devotion to mental health and well-being. I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2005 with a degree in mental health nursing. Since then, I have dedicated my life to the mental well-being of my patients, from a forensic setting to those who seek help with self-confidence, self-esteem, grief, the breakdown of a relationship, or in recent times dealing with the effects and aftereffects of COVID-19. I bring empathy and care, and a helping hand to help you overcome challenges that are impacting your mind. Take the first step towards a healthier mind by booking an appointment with me.

My Experience

I am a registered senior mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in nursing care, including 14 years specialising in forensics. I have a mission to provide compassionate care and support to everyone. I have also worked in eating disorder units, acute and rehabilitation hospitals, and with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), personality disorders, learning disabilities, and drug and alcohol problems. I have also worked with severe enduring mental illnesses such as bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, severe major depression, autism and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). In my recent and final post within the NHS, spanning 3 years, I worked as a clinical supervisor.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, I became more focused on setting up a practice so I could work as a holistic practitioner helping people who are stuck on never-ending waiting lists getting assessed and accessing support for mental health issues, focusing on areas that I have both professional and personal experience in: depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), stress and bereavement. Although classed as minor mental illnesses, there is nothing minor about them. Anyone who has suffered from any of these conditions will know they invade every aspect of their well-being. The impact is enormous, debilitating, invasive and relentless.

Helping You

My role and my promise to you is that I will support you in fulfilling your life. I want to make a difference and one of my roles will be to teach and advise on mental health by encouraging healthy behaviours and treating symptoms early with early intervention. I am caring, compassionate and empathic with a non-judgmental attitude to your individual circumstances. I am proud of my profession as I play a humanitarian role in society. Versatile and multi-skilled, my goal is to provide optimal clinical outcomes, incorporating the six values of nursing: care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.
